Shawn and I have 4 sponsored children through World Vision and last year I was able to meet one of them, Oscar and his family! It was a wonderful experience and this year we get to visit Oscar again and also meet another one of our children Gilma who lives in the same project area as Oscar in Guatemala.
We donate $30 a month for these children while World Vision works in their community to help bring them up to being self sufficient. We get to send letters back and forth to each other and we also get to send extra money for the family to use for what ever their greatest needs are. Oscar has been able to buy shoes, clothes, a bed, a dresser, and some school supplies also! We can't wait to visit them again this year!
Hi Friend. Glad you got a blog going and thanks for sharing it with me. I love the pics of you and your husband. First time I have seen them. Can't wait to hear more about Guatemala.
